At the BOC's July 14 meeting, the Board voted to authorize Township staff to hold a public hearing on Zoning Ordinance Amendment #2007-02, LFGC, Inc. The purpose of the meeting will be to gather public input to inform a possible Board vote on the overlay district text proposed by Liberty Forge.
The Board also authorized staff to use extra means to notify the public about this hearing. Discussion in the July 14 meeting included possibly posting notices about the meeting along the roads in the affected R2 zoning district, and mailing meeting notices to residents in R2.
The approved motion - I believe - included text to mail notices and advertise in the newspaper.
This action was taken after learning that the LAT Planning Commission, in its July 3 meeting, voted to reject #2007-02 as written. On March 20, 2008 the Cumberland County Planning Commission also voted to reject the proposal.
As of today, I'm not aware if a meeting location has been selected by staff. The meeting is to begin at 7 p.m.
