If you're not already aware, last Friday morning, somebody apparently stole a large amount of cash from the Lisburn Fire Company. The money had been raised the previous two days at the annual carnival.
While it may be likely that those who swiped the cash are the same ilk of buffoon who gets their jollies vandalizing picnic tables at Yellow Breeches Park, click over to the story on PennLive and read the comments.
If only a little bit, it reminded me that a community is much larger and heartier than the actions of its baser individuals might lead one to believe. Enjoy.
