At the end of National Night Out (NNO), I met a very nice couple from Christ Presbyterian Church, 421 Deerfield Rd., Camp Hill, at the Allendale NNO picnic. I learned the church is reaching out to the local community to bolster its membership by hosting some free events in the coming months:

• Sunday, Sept. 14, 12:30 p.m.: Popcorn Hat Players presenting stories from the Bible

• Wednesday nights, Oct.-Mar., 5:30-7:30 p.m.: Wednesday Night Live for grades 1 through 8

• Saturday, Oct. 4, 7 a.m. - 12 p.m.: Community Pancake Breakfast

• Wed., Oct 1, 8 & 15, 7-8:15 p.m.: Learning To Be Financially Savvy
