LAT's fantastic Public Works staff just saved taxpayers more than $60,000 by using millings from the Rt. 15/581 project.
According to Manager Tom Vernau and an article in yesterday's Patriot-News, Public Works used the millings for a repaving project at the Lower Allen Community Park. LAT received 855 tons milled from Hartzdale Drive, and used most of the material at the park.
There are more savings to come, too, as Public Works still has more than 300 tons in reserve.
Fantastic work, Public Works. Nice job!
