Some of you may have seen a small article in The Sentinel today. If you didn't here's the text, with my comments in blue:
Lower Allen commissioners canceled a vote Monday on a controversial zoning change for the Liberty Forge golf course.
There was no vote scheduled to cancel. On the meeting's agenda, the Conservation Park item was listed as a discussion because the Township has received the transcript of the Sept. 15 public hearing.
Commissioners now expect to vote on the proposed conservation park overlay zoning change, which was proposed by Liberty Forge, sometime in November.
Chairman John Titzel said he was still reading the copious testimony from a public hearing held Sept. 15.
This is mostly accurate. Pres. Titzel said he is also reviewing all public comment on the proposed ordinance.
Other commissioners said they were ready to vote on the proposal at Monday’s meeting, but they deferred and designated the board’s Nov. 24 meeting to again consider the Liberty Forge proposal.
Only one commissioner said he was ready to vote, not commissioners. The date for the next Conservation Park discussion is correct.
There is no requirement for the board to take action within a certain time frame, said solicitor Steven Miner.
Only a couple of people showed up Monday specifically for the Liberty Forge’s proposal to permit multi-family buildings in the residential R-2 zone, which currently specifies homes at a density of one per acre. The proposed conditional use would also have required the developer to bring public water to the site and to provide open space for recreational use, although fees could be charged for recreation.
There is much more involved with the proposed ordinance.
The board will also meet Nov. 10, when commissioners expect to continue discussing the budget.
As earlier posts indicate, the Board will also meet Nov. 3 and 17 for budget meetings.
Now you know.

The next discussion on the ordinance is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 24.
Public meetings are scheduled for every Monday in November: Nov. 3 and 17 for budget discussions; Nov. 10 and 24 for normal business.
