Thanks to our friends at PennDOT, we know they'll be making some changes to the traffic flow around the Rt. 15/581 project early this week:
New Simpson Ferry Road Traffic Pattern,
Beginning Monday, November 10, 2008
The contractor anticipates shifting Simpson Ferry Road between St. Johns Church Road and Lower Allen Drive into a new, long-term traffic pattern on Monday, November 10, 2008. In this new traffic pattern, a single lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction on the newly paved northern portion of Simpson Ferry Road, while the southern portion is reconstructed. The contractor anticipates shifting Lower Allen Drive between Simpson Ferry Road and Hartzdale Drive into a new, long-term traffic pattern on Tuesday, November 11, 2008. In this new traffic pattern, a two lanes of traffic will be maintained in each direction of Lower Allen Drive. All existing turn lanes will be maintained during this phase of construction.
