I brought in our mail this evening. Now granted, we didn't get the mail yesterday, so there were two day's worth of missives in the mailbox.
That said, I would love to know just exactly how much our friends at Verizon are spending on direct mail these days. Wow.
Tonight I opened three mail pieces from Verizon. Two promoted their phone and internet service package, and the third piece promoted their video, internet and phone service. The latter piece arrived in an oversized envelope and looked like an overnight mailer.
If you'd like to stop the madness, you can sign up for Verizon services, or opt out of their direct mail lists. I found several spots on the Verizon web site indicating people can opt out, but couldn't figure out how to do it.
Anybody have the answer to this one? I'd really like to help Verizon not kill a few trees to attempt to sell me something I'm not going to buy.
