I just read an article on PennLive explaining that the water pressure increase I thought had happened weeks ago actually didn't. Written by Ellen Lyon, the brief explained that:
"...The company had planned to begin increasing the pressure in East Pennsboro, Fairview, Lower Allen and Upper Allen townships and Camp Hill, Lemoyne, Shiremanstown, New Cumberland and Wormleysburg on Oct. 20. But Camp Hill petitioned the Public Utility Commission to issue an emergency order halting the increase, and the company voluntarily delayed its plans for 30 days....
Most homeowners in the affected communities should expect to see water pressure increases from the current average of 60 to 80 pounds per square inch to a new pressure of 80 to 105 pounds per square inch, water company officials said."
Hmmmm, I thought we were out of the woods on this one. I had received a call from a constituent the weekend before the planned change, and when nothing happened, I mistakenly assumed all was well.
Keep you eyes on your washer and dishwasher hoses this week. If you have issues, please let me - or the Township - know. No, I can't visit everybody with a bucket and a mop, but I'd like to at least be aware if there are problems.
