Wow, I've never been to an Easter egg hunt where gloves were more appropriate that bonnets.
This morning's frigid and blustery event at Lower Allen Community Park brought out kids, parents, a chilly Easter Bunny, and several hearty LAT volunteers. Many warm kudos go out to Donna Paul, Susan Parry, Scott Duncanson, the Easter Bunny (you know who you are), and the many other volunteers who gave of their time to get drenched to the bone so LAT kids could snatch some candy and prizes this morning starting at 10 a.m.
Also, thanks to the wonderful sponsors whose donations made the event possible.
A great time was had by all kids and parents, despite temperatures in the low 40s and a brisk wind whipping through LACP. Veterans said they had never seen similar weather at an Easter egg hunt, and I hope we never do again.
Now I just need to dry off a little before the LAT strategy meeting begins at noon. A little Coyote Joe's Irish Cream coffee certainly helps chase the chill.
