In an earlier post (Link) I erroneously stated that Gov. Ed Rendell signed the Chesapeake Bay compact committing Pennsylvania to meet nitrogen and phosphorous discharge limits by 2010.
Could I be wrong?
A friend pointed out to me earlier this week that former Gov. Tom Ridge signed the Chesapeake 2000 Agreement on June 28, 2000. I'd said so many times in so many places that Gov. Rendell signed the document, that I looked it up.

On June 28, 2000, the Chesapeake Executive Council met in Friendship, Maryland to sign a new agreement that will guide the next decade of restoration in the Chesapeake Bay watershed. The agreement contains commitments that will improve water quality and protect living resources in the Bay and its tributaries.
