As has been reported, the LAT BOC voted unanimously on Monday, Nov. 24 to direct its solicitor to prepare an adjudication in the negative regarding the Sept. 15, 2008 public hearing on a conservation park overlay amendment proposed by Liberty Forge Golf Course (LFGC). The adjudication is also to affirm the findings of the Cumberland County and LAT Planning Commissions.
For the record, I've saved articles I found related to this latest development in the LFGC story:
- "Lower Allen Twp. rejects Liberty Forge proposal," by Chris Courogen, The Patriot-News, posted to PennLive.com shortly after the meeting Nov. 24
- "Commissioners block luxury apartment plan," by Chris Courogen, The Patriot-News, posted on PennLive.com on Nov. 25
- "Liberty Forge zoning overlay rejected," by Barbara Phillips Long, The Sentinel, posted to cumberlink.com on Nov. 25
- "Lower Allen Twp. denies Liberty Forge development," by Jim Ryan, Central Penn Business Journal, posted on its web site Nov. 25
If anybody has questions about why I voted this way, or would like to discuss the matter further, please contact me directly. I will respond.
