Road Closures on US 15 for Blasting,
Beginning Tuesday, March 3, 2009The contractor has scheduled blasting operations to facilitate construction of the new bridge abutments for the new US 15 bridge over Lower Allen Drive.
Short-term traffic stoppages on US 15 Northbound and Southbound should be expected for blasting operations, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM. The first blast is scheduled for Tuesday, March 3, 2009, and it is anticipated the blasting will be completed in one week....
I drove out on Fernwood Avenue last weekend to see what I could see in Rana Villa South. At the end of Fernwood, the view into the construction was pretty interesting.
I knew the bridge was going to be gone, but to look across the gap where the bridge had previously been was fairly odd. Aaaah, progress.
